DEFSONIX Return Policy

Effective Date: April 15, 2026

At DEFSONIX, customer satisfaction is a top priority. We proudly stand behind the craftsmanship, engineering, and performance of every portable Bluetooth speaker and audio product we build. This Return Policy explains the terms and conditions for returns, exchanges, damaged items, defective products, and refunds for purchases made through DEFSONIX.com.

This policy is designed to comply with standard Shopify eCommerce return policy best practices, while protecting both our customers and our brand.


1. 30-Day Return Window

Customers may request a return for eligible products within 30 calendar days from the confirmed delivery date.

To be eligible for a return, the product must:

  • Be returned in new or gently used condition
  • Include the original packaging, inserts, accessories, cables, manuals, and protective materials
  • Be free from visible misuse, abuse, water damage, drops, unauthorized modifications, or accidental damage
  • Include a valid proof of purchase, receipt, or DEFSONIX order number

DEFSONIX reserves the right to deny returns that do not meet these conditions.


2. Non-Returnable Items

The following products are considered final sale and are not eligible for return, refund, or exchange unless defective upon arrival:

  • Limited-edition collaboration speakers
  • Artist collaboration drops
  • Custom-built or personalized units
  • Clearance or discounted final sale items
  • Gift cards
  • Downloadable digital products
  • Merchandise marked Final Sale

This includes select special releases such as exclusive DEFSONIX culture collaborations and preorder-exclusive speaker variants.


3. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Orders

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, you must notify DEFSONIX within 7 days of delivery.

Please email support@defsonix.com with the following:

  • Full name
  • Order number
  • Description of the issue
  • Photos of the product
  • Photos of the shipping box and packaging
  • Video showing the issue when applicable

Upon review, DEFSONIX may provide one of the following remedies:

  • Replacement product
  • Repair assistance
  • Store credit
  • Partial refund
  • Full refund

We reserve the right to troubleshoot audio, battery, Bluetooth, charging, or accessory issues before authorizing a return.


4. Return Shipping Policy

Unless the return is due to a verified DEFSONIX error, customers are responsible for all return shipping costs.

Examples of DEFSONIX-covered returns include:

  • Wrong item shipped
  • Manufacturer defect
  • Shipping damage
  • Missing accessories caused during fulfillment

For all customer-initiated returns, we strongly recommend using a trackable and insured shipping method.

DEFSONIX is not liable for lost, stolen, delayed, or damaged return shipments that occur in transit.


5. Refund Processing

Once the returned item is received and inspected, approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method.

Please allow 5–10 business days for the refund to appear, depending on your payment provider, bank, or credit card company.

The following are non-refundable unless required by law or caused by DEFSONIX fulfillment error:

  • Original shipping charges
  • Route shipping insurance or protection fees
  • Expedited delivery charges
  • International duties or customs fees

6. Exchanges

DEFSONIX only offers exchanges for:

  • Defective products
  • Shipping damage
  • Incorrect items sent
  • Approved warranty-related replacements

At this time, we do not guarantee exchanges for colorway preferences, collaboration variants, or limited inventory products once sold out.


7. Pre-Orders and Limited Releases

All DEFSONIX pre-orders, collaboration launches, and limited production drops are subject to production timelines.

Because many DEFSONIX speakers are built in controlled production runs, pre-order cancellations may be subject to a processing fee once manufacturing begins.

Customers requesting cancellation before production starts may receive a full refund.

Once a preorder enters active production, DEFSONIX reserves the right to issue:

  • Store credit
  • Partial refund minus processing fees
  • Refund only after resale of the reserved inventory slot

This section is especially applicable to LX2 series pre-orders, collaboration drops, and executive production units.

9. Fraud Prevention and Abuse

DEFSONIX monitors return activity to protect against fraud, abuse, excessive returns, part swapping, and unauthorized component replacement.

We reserve the right to refuse service, deny refunds, or limit future purchases when suspicious return behavior is identified.
